What can be produced with Cashmere

CF7A1601 1So far we have talked about cashmere, i.e. the raw material, and its product characteristics. Now we want to see what can be produced with this raw material. There are so many things. From knitwear to accessories (such as scarves). Cashmere knitwear gives a truly particular and pleasant sensation to the touch. It is useless to talk about the proverbial softness.

However, garments that are so particular and pleasant to wear also need special care. We must aim for the durability of these garments, given that they cost a little more than traditional garments, and the best way to make cashmere garments last is to treat them with care, or more precisely with the “right” care .

For example, washing a quality cashmere sweater must be done by hand and in cold water, and the water must have a temperature below 30 degrees. You need to use a mild soap that leaves no residue.

You need to rinse very well, applying light pressure, and if you have to spin it in the washing machine, you must first put the cashmere garment in a laundry bag or other container, if necessary a pillowcase, and only then can you spin it .

If they are stained, you must try to remove the stains as quickly as possible by soaking them for at least 10 minutes and then rubbing gently on the stain, without “traumatising” the fabric.

Drying is then an important “ritual”. Be careful not to expose your clothes to direct heat. If you hang out a garment (shirt or other), never stretch it, but place it delicately on a drying rack so as not to force its shape.
If you wish to iron your cashmere sweater, remember that you do not have to place the iron on it, but you can simply apply a jet of steam to the sweater itself, and then let it cool well before folding it.

Another tip: Between one use and another of your cashmere garments, keep them still for at least a day, this will increase their durability and allow the “wrinkles” and creases to heal without having to do anything else.

Always store your clothes in a cool and dry place, so that at the end of the season they will be ready to face a period of non-use (obviously the summer one).
