ALL OUR YARNS NEED TO BE TREAT/WASHED
(unless otherwise specified in the listings)
I strongly recommend following our knitting and washing tips. Please read carefully below and the pages we recommend reading.
It is recommended to always make a 10x10 cm (or better yet, 20x20 cm) SAMPLE before starting your final project.
This allows you to avoid many unpleasant inconveniences.
In fact, you can:
– see the hand
– see the indentations
– calculate yarn consumption
– decide the best way to work with the yarn to maximize yield
– decide the number of needles to use, best suited to the project you need to do (the number we list on the website is indicative)
– check for defects in the yarn (this rarely happens, but with yarns in stock, it can happen)
CALCULATING YARD CONSUMPTION is very important, so you don't run out of yarn and end up having to undo your project. All our yarns (except eco-cashmere) are in stock. We purchase leftovers from knitting mills, auctions, etc., and these are in small quantities. Colors and styles change constantly, and you may no longer find the color or yarn you purchased—unfortunately, this happens often.
For more information on processing yarns in spools and washing, you'll find the links to the respective pages in the large black bar at the bottom.
For information on hand and machine knitting and much more, visit our blog by clicking here.
For information on washing cashmere yarns, click here. This type of washing is suitable for all yarns made from animal and plant fibers.
The number of needles indicated in the description of each product is indicative and depends on the hand, the type of stitch, and the type of garment being made. We recommend always making a small swatch, measuring it, counting the stitches, and washing it to see the final result (yield, softness, etc.). This way, you can decide whether to knit the yarn with fewer or more rows (i.e., knit it more loosely or tightly).
When starting to knit the yarn, please carefully check the first stitches. If you notice any irregularities in the yarn, stop working immediately and notify our technical office. If the yarn is defective, it will be replaced.
The photographs for the products on our website were taken in 5500K light and color-balanced to 5500K to ensure a 100% optimal photographic basis for the colors. We recommend using the color name to avoid color incompatibilities in your orders due to different monitor calibrations.
