How to wash a cashmere sweater

Today I want to give you some tips, which you surely already know, but it's always good to refresh your memory, on how to
wash cashmere.
Sweaters, jumpers, cardigans, dresses, but also scarves, gloves, hats, in short, all cashmere garments.
Cashmere should be washed in cold water (never in a washing machine), without detergent, but with delicate garment soap, a very small amount of soap.
Soak it in a basin for two or three hours with a little soap.
Afterwards, remove it from the basin, let the excess water drain naturally without wringing, and lay it flat on a blanket or towel to dry.
Never hang it! Cashmere is such a delicate fiber that if you hang a
garment to dry, there is a strong possibility that the weight of the water will cause your garment to lose its shape, making it deformed, long, and narrow, without the possibility of it returning to its original shape.
Finally, ironing. Generally, cashmere garments do not need to be ironed, but if you really want to iron it, do not place the iron directly on the fiber, only use steam.
The steam alone is enough to remove any remaining wrinkles without damaging the fiber itself.
A hot iron or, worse, too hot an iron, placed on the cashmere garment can damage the fiber, which is already very delicate.
Follow these small tips and your cashmere garment will last forever, always looking brand new.
